The Centre for Occupational Safety to discontinue printed Occupational Safety Cards

From the beginning of 2025, the Centre for Occupational Safety will discontinue printed Occupational Safety Cards. Following this change, the Centre for Occupational Safety will launch an open Occupational Safety Card register in early 2025, where cardholders, employers, and contractors can verify card details. Use of the register requires strong authentication.

Currently, the data in the Occupational Safety Card register has been originally collected by the providers of the Occupational Safety Card training, i.e., the training centers. Every individual currently in the register has the right to object to the processing and availability of their data. If you do not want your information to be publicly visible in the register, you can submit a notification to kortti@ttk.fi. The notification must include your name, date of birth, email address, and a clear statement regarding the prohibition of disclosure. The non-disclosure remains in effect for the duration of the card’s validity.

During the autumn, the Centre for Occupational Safety will update its privacy policy so that training participants will be aware of the publication of training data in the future. After this, the aforementioned right to object to the disclosure of information will no longer apply.

If, after the change, you still wish to order a plastic Occupational Safety Card for yourself after completing the training, it will be possible through the Centre for Occupational Safety until the end of 2026.
